MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

Welcome to Quantum Days 2022! Quantum science and technology are rapidly accelerating globally and are strategically important to Canada, with our strong nationwide quantum community spanning from academia to government laboratories to industry. This year, we are celebrating the announcement of support for Canada’s first National Quantum Strategy in Budget 2021, which, when launched, will further our significant strength in quantum research, expand our technology ecosystem, and solidify our global leadership in this area.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural 1000-participant event, Quantum Days 2022 will bring together quantum scientists, technologists, and thought leaders from all sectors. The three-day event will include talks by prominent researchers, panel discussions, poster sessions, a job fair, and networking activities. Quantum Days 2022 will enable the Canadian quantum community to showcase our excellence and define our vision for the future.

We are committed to equity in all facets of our conference, celebrate the open and lively exchange of ideas, and value difference in our thoughts, experiences, and perspectives. These are central to the pursuit of our most pressing questions and require an environment that recognizes the inherent worth of every person and group, that fosters dignity, understanding, and mutual respect, and that embraces diversity. We will strive to deliver an event that helps address systemic inequities and we call on all delegates to abide by the Quantum Days Delegate Commitment to Respect & Inclusion.

We’re looking forward to an exciting event and meeting everyone at Quantum Days 2022!
